Un Día de Mi Vida

This messy coffee table sums up a my current life quite well. My day starts off with my Bible (far left). Next I move on to drinking some juice (cappuccino if I’m feeling bougie) from the cup set my sister got for Clark and I at our wedding shower. Headphones are a daily necessity as I bike to and from campus. The candle gives my life some aesthetic value. Lastly there are coasters handmade by Clark of our favorite photos, a wedding gift in progress, and the book to our finance course.

Each of these items has a special place in my life as of current and each provides me or aleves me of stress and strain from the day-to-day. The lighting conditions were good because there was no direct, harsh light, and there are few shadows. This natural light allowed for the colors to be most normal and non distorted.

The above picture is my bike. This bike has been my saving grace since my car was totaled by yours truly. This photo was in a dark room with just my flash, hence the reason the reflector has a light flare and the colors are so apparent in some areas and lacking in others.

I am not a fan of flash only photos because I feel that it causes distortion and does not portray accurately the colors of an object. I feel that flash and natural light is the best option if there are shadows and they need to be slowed down. I believe that natural light is best when you are not in direct sunlight. The direct light is too harsh and will not yield a good photo.

The above photo is one I snapped while at school. I am constantly studying, teaching, or learning something. This is simply an aspect of my life. Another huge aspect is the big title on the cup. Mr., and I have a cup that says Mrs. as well, these titles are going to be my and my husband’s titles in less than 80 days.

Wedding planning is no easy task. School is no easy task. Wedding planning and taking 15 hours is really no easy task. But, I know that my God is sufficient and can provide for me all that I need. I just need to trust in Him.

The photo of the singular cup was taken using flash and natural light. The natural light was behind the cup and acted as a backlight. The flash illuminated the face of the cup and allowed details to be seen that would have otherwise been lost. The combination of flash and natural light is most beneficial when you can take the photo from an angle that makes one the key light and the other is simply used for lighting the background.
