Journalism is a brutal section of the workforce, and we must stay up to date. In one of my classes we went through a list of apps and sources that are useful and can take your journalism from good to great!

Here are some sources that can help you with research:

  • Journalists resource- Research Strategy Guide
  •             Reynolds journalism institute- University of Missouri
  •             Pointer.org
  •             Pewresearch.org
  •             Archive.org

Social media has taken the journalism world by storm and it is important to stay up to date and to engage in as many as possible.

  •             Twitter
  •             Facebook
  •             Instagram
  •             WordPress
  •             Youtube

Apps- apps are extremely useful and can add up quickly, for that reason, I will only be listing free versions of apps, or versions that are less than 5 dollars.

  •             Voice record pro (free)- a recording app that has many share and save options as well as shows a VU meter
  •             FiLMiC Pro (4.99) only available on iPad
  • Camera+ (1.99) has range of abilities
  • SnapSeed (Free)- photo editing software
